Centerpiece Looks

Shirt: H&M (Spain)
Shorts: Zara
Belt: Italy
Shoes: Gap
Bag: Lucky Brand
Earrings: Vintage

Sometimes I find it difficult to put together an outfit that works for an entire day's activities. So I usually pick one item of clothing that is the, say, centerpiece, of the look. Then from there you can change the accessories and accompanying garments. Yesterday I picked a long plaid shirt, sleeves folded up 3/4 of the way, as my centerpiece.
On a humid day grabbing a quick bite of lunch at a cafe or chain, such as Panera, I paired the shirt with a chunky belt, hemp shorts and flat sandals.

As it started to rain before I drove to work, I untucked the shirt, ditched the belt, and threw on some BCBG gray jeans, keeping the shoes. (Later when I met up with friends for dinner I cuffed the jeans, for a more casual look.)

Like the looks? Have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!!

Who Loves Zara?!

Sevilla, Spain

I discovered Zara this past Spring while traveling in Spain! I immediatly fell in love with the romantic, bohemian, style of such a unique European department store! Since there was a Zara every few blocks in cities like Madrid, Seville and Barcelona, it was easy to spend quite a few (and by few I mean $$$) euros!!

I have been to the Zara in the Upper West Side of Manhattan twice since my trip, but I am so excited that Zara's new website offers online shopping starting September 2nd!! So I decided to dedicate this post to my love of Zara!

I'm loving these fall looks from their August look book, that you all should deff check out!
Scarves and sweaters are two of my passions about living in the North East!
I looove Blazers! They seem to be in almost every store this year,
where they were harder to come by last season! The white pant on this model adds
a fresh look to this Fall outfit without looking too bright!

The opposition of the bulky sweater and cropped slacks creates the fabulous "just thrown together" look
perfect for brunch or window shopping with friends!

Yo necesito visitar la tienda antes de escuela empieza!
Zara makes me want to break out in Spanish, but translation: I need to visit the store before school starts, and the perfect excuse: there isn't an online shop...yet ;)

"What is there to do other than Shop and Eat?"

Good Afternooon! Today I wore one of my favorite casual trends of the season: cropped shirts with boyfriend shorts.
But Crazyyy deal here, from Target actually: an x-large tee from the mens sections, that was on sale for 2.89! I got some scissors, trimmed the sleaves and neck and cut the bottom with the center being the shortest point. I love the graphic: The Blue Buddha Sushi Bar! I wish I had some sushi now....yum!
Dressed it up with a cute braided navy belt and my Momma's navy BP. espadrilles giving the outfit a feminine touch along with the beaded cross necklace I bought from a street vender in Toledo.

Shirt: Target
Shorts: Zara
Necklace: Toledo, Spain
Earings: Lucky Brand
Shoes: BP.
Sun Glasses: H&M
Belt: Nordstrom

I guess the cross and Buddha are kind of ironic?

Just got back from Stage 1 of the organization shopping with no purchases. After scalping TjMaxx and attempting Target I'm left dissapointed. Much of their housewares are only sold online, other than cheap plastic shelves and drawers for college dorms. But I'm not giving up yet! After a bite of lunch here at home, I'll go try Marshalls, similar to Tj's but according to my Momma it has better housewares. We'll see!
